Bursting Your Bubble

ABOUT THIS SERIES

It has been said that we should "at all times preach Christ, but use words only when necessary." The idea is that our lives should tell the story of Jesus more than our words. As inspiring an idea as this might be, has it led to a new era where Christians, once accused of too much talk and not enough walk, are now merely seen and not heard? Is it enough to live out our faith if we never open our mouths to speak to others about the reality of Jesus? What if what the world really needs from us is to be the kind of Christians who show and tell?

To those outside the church, Christians seem to have our own sub-culture that's completely disconnected from the real people who live in the real world. We have our own friends, our own language, even our own music and movies. And while this can present an enormous challenge for outsiders trying to break in, the greater concern may actually be our inability to break out. If God has called us to impact and influence our world, what's it going to take for us to burst our bubble?
